I am a long-time lover of poetry, but found a particular affinity with haiku; falling for it’s ability to capture profundity, beauty, and comedy in all manner of succinct, subtle and staggering ways. It is a compact form much more than the sum of its parts which, though I claim to be no master, is a joy to compose.
Inspired by quotidian life in and around the British isles, below you’ll find a list of my original haiku, which will be updated every month. Simply click whichever poem takes your fancy to be redirected to the relevant page. The date each haiku was posted doesn’t reflect the date on which they were written.
If you have any enquiries about the haiku listed here or any other content on my blog, please use the contact form. As always, thank you for stopping by!
