52 Oneshots in 52 Weeks

52 Oneshots in 52 Weeks is a year long project to read and review a oneshot manga every week!

A oneshot is a type of manga comprised of a single stand-alone chapter. Oftentimes, oneshots are where authors flex their creativity, testing the waters with fresh stories and eccentric ideas. Many serve as a pilot chapter and go on to become long-running serial manga, whereas others find homes in anthologies and collections.

My fifty-two choices include personal picks, recommendations, fan favourites from top-rated lists, and some chosen at random. They vary in author, genre and demographic, and are selected from roughly thirty different publications. It is my desire to explore a rich assortment of oneshots, offering the media some commentary and enriching my own library in the process.

The project officially began in early August 2023 and concluded at the end of July 2024. Below you’ll find a list of every featured oneshot in the order they were discussed — simply click whichever one takes your fancy to be redirected to the relevant page. You can also find my numerical ratings for each manga on MyAnimeList!

I hope you’ll join me for some assorted bite-sized reading!
